Programs of the competing lists for the 54th Student Parliament

Note: the lists are responsible for the content!
1. Presentation of the StuPa list "C.A.T.S. Creative, Affect, Technical, Social List"
We stand for a diverse, social, and sustainable campus, where diversity and inclusion are welcome, equality matters, and racism as well as discrimination have no place!
Election Program
- Mobility and Fairness: Securing the Semester Ticket
We advocate for retaining the nationwide semesterticket or introducing an Bildungsticket that benefits everyone in education. Mobility and education should not face financial barriers. - Sustainable and Green Campus Development
Our goal is an ecologically sustainable campus. We aim to promote more greenery, energy efficiency, and environmentally friendly mobility concepts. The campus should not only be a place for learning but also a model for sustainability. - More Financial Resources for Student Councils
We demand a fairer distribution of funds so that smaller student councils can independently organize events and projects again. - Promoting Engagement: Introducing Meeting Allowances
We want to value the work in student committees, such as academic committees. Meeting allowances should not only be a sign of appreciation but also lower barriers for students who want to get involved. - More Transparency in Student Committee Budgets
Finances should be clear and comprehensible. We advocate for more transparency in the budgets of student committees, especially concerning student councils. - Reforming AStA Structures: More Student Participation
We aim to change the AStA structure to involve students more. An open and friendly atmosphere should facilitate access and encourage motivation for participation. - Spaces for Rest: Creating Retreat Areas
Rest rooms for spiritual purposes or personal retreat needs are essential for well-being. We advocate for the creation of such spaces. - Expanding the Cafeteria Offering
We aim for a more diverse and affordable selection in the cafeteria, similar to TU Darmstadt. - Establishing AStA Departments for "International" and "FLINTA*"
International and FLINTA* students deserve special attention. Dedicated AStA departments should address their concerns and needs. - Ersti Week: Building Community from the Start
We want to make Freshman Week a highlight—with a joint city rally and a freshman party that brings all departments together.

2. Presentation of the StuPa list "H.A.I. (Hochschulliste Aktive Informatik)"
The StuPa has one problem - it can’t get anything done because absent representatives. The student faculties have difficulties accessing money for events and student activities. Why? The parliament is busy with bureaucracy rather than passing policy for students. Additionally, individuals intentionally prevent resolutions by leaving StuPa sessions, rendering them unable to secure an absolute majority.
We, the H.A.I., want to change this. We want to achieve the following:
-
Interests of student councils have FIRST PRIORITY
3% more Budget for YOUR faculty! -
Enough study spaces for everyone.
No camping for study spaces! -
Preserve the affordable student cafés.
Glaskasten, not Starbucks! -
Foster ALL student bodies of the h_da.
No events without cash! -
No more vacant AStA positions.
No help without helpers!
We need solution-oriented university politics! Gone with the gridlock!
We stand for an open community free of discrimination. So if you want to prevent this gridlock from ruining our campus life, vote for H.A.I.!

3. Presentation of the StuPa list "F.I.S.H. (Linke Liste)"
F.I.S.H. is feminist, intersectional, solidarity: we represent party-independent leftist university politics! In this sense, we focus on sustainability & diversity, criticize existing hierarchies and question identity producing systems. Patriarchal and discriminatory structures and conditions must be eliminated - we want justice! We see ourselves as anticapitalist, internationalist, antiracist, feminist, antifascist. We think in an intersectional manner and beyond binary structures and reject the logic of ableism that capitalism imposes - getting a degree is not just for your CV! We advocate for the protection and further expansion of open spaces and for increased measures to support structurally disadvantaged people.
University is not a neutral place! It has to be a place for critical education and not for looking the other way - university carries responsibility, too! We stand up for the strengthening of the student self-administration, because the h_da is not exempt from
social power- and domination relations. While StuPa/ AStA cannot solve all the problems in the world, it can take a stand and contribute to the political and cultural education of all students. That is why we seek for a political & emancipatory self-administration that supports the interests of marginalized groups of people and promotes corresponding initiatives and measures. Last but not least, we can contribute to more transparency and information on what university politics are actually about, current and upcoming events, and how one can get involved. Oriented to the needs of students, we finally want to strive together for better study conditions – for all! Your vote for us sends a signal for justice and against discrimination (do not hesitate to contact us at kontakt@linkeliste-darmstadt.de).
In concrete we demand among other things…
… the repeal of compulsory attendance and more teaching staff.
… a more sustainable and comprehensive basic funding.
… more participatory student involvement through democratic structures.
… the provision of (essential) information written in english language.
… lower prices in the mensa and the dormitories.
… improved working conditions, especially for student employees.
… more study rooms and retreat facilities for students.
… assumption of responsibilities to the society, e.g. for the environment.
… and many more!

4. Presentation of the StuPa-List "Technisch-Kreative Liste (TKL)"
We want to promote student life on campus:
- Make learning, laboratory and work rooms freely usable for students: whether on weekends or at night, whether for private projects or work groups: learning also takes place outside of lectures. This requires space!
- We believe that non-discriminatory and open interactions with one another are a given and we want to demand and promote this. Obstacles and barriers are to dismantle.
- University sports on the premises by creating sports facilities that can be used at any time enable (bouldering corner, open sports courses,...)
- We want more infrastructure such as covered bike parking, seating and barbecue areas.
- Events and life: The campus is not only a learning space, but also a social meeting place.
- Food selection: Cheap food in the cafeteria, tasty food in Schöffers, delicious Coffee specialties in the cafes "Glaskasten" and "Zeitraum": Wherever you are, you need a variety of offerings.
- Leading a productive and goal-oriented StuPa: We want appropriate discussions encourage and treat each other with respect so that constructive work can be done and the meeting time is used as sensibly as possible.
- Stronger collaboration with the student councils: We always want to be open to feedback, ideas and criticism through direct contacts!
- We need a central overview of information: How do you get a locker, where are showers, what software is available for free, where can you do group work... The h_da has a lot to offer, but there is a lack of knowledge, exchange and access to it!
